Shanghai Disneyland is a Disney theme park located in Pudong, Shanghai, China.
It opened its doors to the public on June 16, 2016, becoming the first Disney park in mainland China
and the sixth Disney resort worldwide.
The park covers an area of 963 acres (3.9 square kilometers) and features six themed lands:
Adventure Isle, Fantasyland, Gardens of Imagination, Mickey Avenue, Tomorrowland, and Treasure Cove.
Each land has its own unique rides, attractions, restaurants, and entertainment offerings, inspired by popular Disney movies and characters.
Shanghai Disneyland also features a variety of shows, parades, and character meet-and-greets,
providing guests with plenty of opportunities to interact with their favorite Disney characters.
The park even has its own nighttime spectacular, “Ignite the Dream,” which combines fireworks, special effects,
and music to create a dazzling show that lights up the sky.
In addition to the theme park,Shanghai Disney Resort also includes two themed hotels
(the Shanghai Disneyland Hotel and the Toy Story Hotel), a shopping district (Disneytown), and a recreational area (Wishing Star Park).
