Pick up and drop off from cruise port
Peace Hotel——– (formerly the Cathay Hotel, built by Sir Victor Sassoon) on Shanghai’s famous Bund riverfront. Take in magnificent views of the city as your guide discusses in length the Baghdadi-Jewish legacy of the city.

Shanghai Jewish Refugees Museum——- also known as the Shanghai Ghetto. In the Hongkou district, you will visit various places including the Shanghai Jewish Refugees Museum (Ohel Moshe Synagogue) and a monument in Huoshan Park. In addition, your guide will take you to explore the back lanes of the district and to visit a Chinese home where Jewish refugees used to live. Such as:
Former site if Baima Coffee store ——-Changyang Road BY Zhoushan road
Former residence of Michael Blumenthal, former US Treasury Secretary ——–No.59 Zhoushan Road
Former Site of Jewish Refugees Shelter ——–Lane.138 Changyang Road

Tilianqiao Prison ——It was built in the early 1900s and holds local and foreign criminals, from violent offenders to prisoners of conscience. It’s a 70,000 square meter microcosm that includes six prison blocks, a hospital and an execution chamber, with a unique trapdoor system under the gallows that allows criminals who have just been hanged to fall directly into the prison morgue. Nice… It was once thought of as the prison with the harshest conditions in the world, with guards who could strike at will and enforced all day silence.

JDC representative Laura Margolis Fomer Site——JDC representative Laura Margolis,By 1943, over 16,500 Jewish refugees were living primarily in Hongkew, Shanghai, a ghetto established by the Japanese invaders at Nazi instigation. As conditions worsened, the JDC stepped in to provide food, education, and vocational training; built hospitals; and set up an emigration office.

Huoshan Park——The area is only the size of the street garden; although small, it has a quite long and hazy history. Huoshan Park is located at the intersection on the south side of Zhoushan Road, very close to Tilanqiao Prison, a Jewish area that took refuge in Shanghai during World War II. There is a glass-covered nameplate in the park, which is hung by the Hongkou District People’s Government and the Israeli Consulate General in Shanghai, to commemorate that period. The old city renovation project in Hongkou District continues to eat away at the surrounding neighborhoods, hoping that the historical neighborhoods and buildings around Huoshan Park will survive because of its cultural status.

Roy Roof Garden——-The roof garden of the former Broadway Theater, a famous social gathering place for Jewish refugees, as well as the performing venue for Jewish musicians and artists.

The former site of the Far East Anti-War Congress——– is located at No. 85 Huoshan Road, Hongkou District. It is a three-story bungalow, where the sign of the former site of the Far East Anti-War Congress hangs in an inconspicuous doorway. Soong Qingling prepared and held the Far East Anti-War Congress in 1936.

Shanghai Conservatory Of Music, In The Former Shanghai Jewish Club———Founded by Russian Jews in 1932, the Jewish Club produced ballet, chorus, drama, and concert performances. It moved several times before settling at its present location in 1947.
The club and its grounds are today used by the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, founded in 1927, the first music institution of higher education in China.

Moller Villa——It was originally owned by the rich Jewish merchant Mahler, and then changed hands several times. It was converted into Hengshan Mahler Villa Hotel in 2005
